Develop a multi-sponsored programme to identify, through international consensus, the top 10 priorities in translational breast cancer

Create a website where breast cancer clinicians, academics and researchers could submit ideas

The result

The Top Ten proposals, consolidated by the steering committee, were identified and published at the St Gallen Conference in March 2007
A report of the programme is to be published in a peer-reviewed publication

Going beyond

The original target was set for 400 registered oncologists with 200 of these voting in the final vote; in the end we achieved 900 participants with 400 voting, thus exceeding our target by over 100%
